Han pasado ya 2 semanas y no me había puesto a escribir porque he tardado bastante en asimilarlo. Pero así fue: yo gané el MM Santa Pola 2015. Una de las carreras más famosas, populares, con mejor ambiente y mayor número de participantes, del panorama nacional.

– UEC: Seguro? me pareció ver un hombre de color, de unos 50Kg y 1,60m. Tu pesas el doble o el triple y te llega por la cintura.

– Yo: Si te digo que gané yo, es que gané yo.

– UEC: Vale, lo que tu quieras.

El fin de semana del 17-18 de Enero fue un fin de semana muy especial para mi. El sábado nos dirigimos a la feria del corredor situada en el Castillo Fortaleza, para recoger el dorsal e inscribir a mi hija en su primera carrera.

Poco después, allí estábamos padre e hija, en la salida de la categoría “pre-chupetines”, donde Inés debutaría con tan sólo 2 años en su primera carrera. Lo hizo genial, al principio nerviosa por todo el ajetreo de la carrera, la megafonía, música, etc. pero al poco comenzó a disfrutar. Al llegar a meta sus primeras palabras fueron: “otra vez papá!” Simplemente espectacular, compartir un momento así con mi hija.

Al día siguiente le tocaba el turno a los mayores, a los más de 9.000 valientes que competirían en Santa Pola por vencerse a ellos mismos, por batir sus objetivos.

Pude disfrutar compartiendo km con los amigos Bee Sport. Al final cada uno acaba cogiendo su ritmo, pero los primeros 10km los hacemos juntos, entre palabras y risas, hasta que el cansancio lo permite.

Nada más llegar a meta, cojo el móvil y veo un whatsapp de Javi, uno de mis pupilos: “Hemos arrasado, he bajado de 1h30′.” Lo llamo y va loco de alegría. No consigo verlo entre tanta multitud.

Finde perfecto: inicio a mi hija en el mundo de las carreras y se lo pasa bomba, conseguimos alcanzar un súper objetivo con uno de mis deportistas y disfruto de una carrera y su posterior comida y sobremesa con los amigos.
